Green Walls
Quantum Landscapes' internal and external green walls can be designed purely for aesthetics or designed for maximum yields. We build on the vertical as well as the horizontal, thus increasing the potential footprint of any growing area. They can incorporate water storage (hidden or open), automated irrigation (from simple to state of the art systems), seasonal cropping schemes for both edible flowers and herbs, through to heirloom vegetable varieties. Passive or Active?
Quantum Landscapes' passive green walls rely solely on natural plant photosynthesis to emit oxygen into the atmosphere, thereby improving the air quality in the surrounding space.
Our active green walls move air through the root zone using natural processes to break down VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) present in the environment. VOCs include both human-made and naturally occurring chemical compounds. VOCs typically are not acutely toxic, but have compounding long-term health effects, especially for people with existing ailments such as allergies and respiratory conditions.
